Do not attempt to remove the inside unit.

Pull flint wheel cartridge straight up. Turn cartridge upside down and remove screw with thin coin or small screwdriver.

Remove any remaining old flint. Insert a new flint in the tube. For best results, use only Zippo brand flints.

Replace the screw in the flint wheel cartridge. Tighten screw securely in place.

Replace flint wheel cartridge in lighter, lining up notched side of cartridge facing the burner and press firmly down.
